A GOVERNORS ISLAND LOVE FEST

not your average wedding and oh, so happy we were a part of it.

a rainy day on an abandoned island?! yes, please. the juxtaposition between the decay of governors island with so much love, life and celebration was a stunning sight to see and capture. that plus all of the soft details (come on, a yellow wedding dress?)...we were in heaven.

we couldn't be more excited to share these photos with you. some of our favorite from the season so far. also, thanks to the below vendors for sharing their mad skills to make it happen.

SARAH + MARTY'S GREENPOINT LOFT SHENANIGANS

i had very high expectations going into sarah and marty's wedding.

greenpoint loft.

diy.

live performances.

cornhole.

robots.

WINNING.

despite my lofty assumptions, my mind was blown. their friends and family rallied together and made this celebration happen. so much love flying around it gave us the feels. i really developed a fondness and affection for these two. in fact, they inherited our fish zeus when we moved out west (forever grateful guys!).

it was one of those weddings where i ended up dancing my face off at the end of the night, too.

ENJOY!

AIMEE + PAUL'S STUNNING BOTANICAL WEDDING

where to begin??

leading off : aimee and paul are old friends of mine. it's every photographer's privilege to shoot the wedding of a close friend and this one was no exception. the bonus was that they have impeccable taste and made their vision a reality. a very difficult thing to do. being a designer, aimee knew exactly what she wanted (in fact, she designed their invite suite).

they started by booking the stunning palm house at the brooklyn botanic garden as the backdrop. outside of that, the grounds of the gardens are a playground for photos. despite rain and wind they hoofed it and we got some dope shots.

all that with a vintage cab to top it off.

thanks for being so in love, aimee + paul. and thanks for letting us capture.
